Are actual filament colors identical to the website images?

Can different Filazoo materials be used in one multicolor print?

Yes, but materials used in the same model should have compatible printing temperatures, cooling requirements, and adhesion characteristics. Combining different colors from the same material family usually produces the most reliable results.

Are Filazoo filaments compatible with my 3D printer?

Can Filazoo filament be used in an automatic material system?

Do I need to calibrate a new spool?

Calibration is recommended when using a new material type, color, printer, or nozzle. A temperature tower, flow-rate test, retraction test, and first-layer calibration can help improve dimensional accuracy, surface quality, bridging, and layer adhesion.

Why are my prints stringing?

Stringing can be caused by excessive nozzle temperature, incorrect retraction, wet filament, slow travel moves, or unsuitable cooling. Dry the filament when necessary, reduce the temperature gradually, and calibrate retraction and travel settings for your printer.

Why is the filament making popping or crackling sounds?

Popping, bubbling, or crackling usually indicates that the filament has absorbed moisture. Stop the print, dry the filament according to the recommendations for that material, and store it in a sealed container after drying.

Why is my first layer not sticking?

Clean the build surface, check bed leveling and Z-offset, confirm the recommended bed temperature, and reduce first-layer speed. A brim or suitable build-plate adhesive may help with materials that are more prone to warping.

Why is my print warping or cracking?

Warping can result from an incorrect bed temperature, rapid cooling, drafts, poor first-layer adhesion, or printing a high-shrinkage material without an enclosure. ABS, ASA, PPA-CF, PEEK-CF, and similar engineering materials require more controlled printing conditions than PLA.

What should I do if the nozzle becomes clogged?

Allow the nozzle to cool safely, unload the filament, and follow your printer manufacturer’s nozzle-cleaning procedure. Confirm that the filament is dry, the nozzle temperature is appropriate, and the nozzle diameter is suitable for the material.

Storage and Filament Care

Does Filazoo filament need to be dried before printing?

New filament is packaged to help protect it from moisture, but drying may still be beneficial if the packaging has been open for an extended period or if the filament shows stringing, bubbling, rough surfaces, weak layers, or inconsistent extrusion.

PETG, TPU, PPA-CF, and other engineering materials are generally more sensitive to moisture than standard PLA.

How should I store an opened spool?

Store opened filament in a sealed bag or airtight container with fresh desiccant. Keep it away from humidity, direct sunlight, dust, and high temperatures. Moisture-sensitive engineering materials should be kept in a dry box whenever possible.

Can I leave filament loaded in my printer?

Filament can remain loaded for short periods in a clean, dry environment. For longer storage, unload it and place it in a sealed container with desiccant, especially when using PETG, TPU, nylon-based, carbon-fiber-reinforced, or other moisture-sensitive materials.

Can filament become brittle?

Filament may become brittle because of moisture exposure, aging, unsuitable storage conditions, or repeated bending. Drying may restore printability when moisture is the cause. Severely damaged filament should be replaced.

Decorative and Specialty Filaments

Does Silk PLA require different settings from standard PLA?

Silk PLA may require a slightly different nozzle temperature, print speed, cooling level, and flow setting to produce a smooth, glossy surface. Slower outer-wall speeds can help improve the visual finish.

How can I improve the color transition in rainbow filament?

Larger models, thicker walls, and longer continuous toolpaths display more of the gradient. Small models may show only part of the color transition because rainbow filament changes color gradually along the spool.

Does translucent filament produce completely clear prints?

Translucent filament allows light to pass through, but standard FDM printing normally produces a frosted or semi-transparent appearance because of layer lines and internal boundaries. Greater transparency may be achieved with thicker layers, fewer internal structures, suitable wall settings, and optimized flow.

How does glow-in-the-dark filament work?

Glow filament absorbs light and releases it gradually in the dark. For a stronger effect, expose the finished model to bright light before viewing it in a dark environment.

Glow additives can be abrasive, so a wear-resistant nozzle is recommended for frequent or long-duration printing.

How does UV color-changing filament work?

UV color-changing filament changes appearance when exposed to ultraviolet light, including strong sunlight. The color gradually returns when the UV source is removed. The strength of the effect depends on UV intensity, exposure time, wall thickness, and model design.

Does Wood PLA contain real wood material?

Filazoo Wood PLA contains PLA blended with wood powder to create a natural-looking color and textured finish. A larger nozzle can help reduce the risk of clogging, particularly during long prints.

Is carbon-fiber filament abrasive?

Yes. Carbon-fiber-reinforced filament can wear down a standard brass nozzle. A hardened steel or other wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. Some engineering materials may also require an enclosure, high-temperature hotend, heated chamber, or specialized build surface.

Is Filazoo filament food-safe or suitable for medical applications?

Filazoo filament should not be treated as food-safe, medical-grade, or suitable for direct food or medical contact unless the individual product documentation specifically states the relevant certification and intended use.

Flexible TPU Filament

What does the Shore hardness number mean for TPU?

The Shore hardness indicates how soft or firm the TPU is. A lower Shore A value generally means greater softness and flexibility, while a higher value produces a firmer material that is usually easier to feed and print.

Do I need a direct-drive extruder for TPU?

A direct-drive extruder is recommended for softer TPU because it provides a shorter and more controlled filament path. Firmer TPU may work with some Bowden systems, but printing slowly and minimizing resistance in the filament path can improve reliability.

What can I print with TPU?

TPU is suitable for phone cases, protective covers, grips, seals, footwear components, flexible hinges, vibration-damping parts, sports accessories, and other models requiring flexibility and impact resistance.

Why is TPU difficult to feed?

TPU can bend or compress inside the extruder when the print speed is too high, the filament path has gaps, or retraction is excessive. Reduce the print speed, use minimal retraction, keep the filament dry, and use a well-constrained feeding path.
